MVAOCOU 18 - Westwood 1
The Rams had a walk-off win on June 17th against the Rebels. Wait, what? They won by 17. How is that a walk-off win? Well, it was in the fourth inning and the Rams were on the verge of using the mercy rule to stop the game in its tracks when just that happened. Cade Schmidt hit a homer to put the game away and send everyone home.
Schmidt was not the only homer hitter on this night. Brayton Paterson also ran the bases, being greeted by teammates. Schmidt also doubled. Both hitters earned 4 RBIs on this night. Jaydon Bailey and Jake Scott both doubled and singled, both getting 2 RBIs. Collin Smeltzer was the king of theft with 4 stolen bases.
Siebersma pitched the 4-inning game, facing 17 batters and throwing 70 pitches. He struck out over half of the batters (9) and gave 4 free trips to first. Only one hit and run was given to the Rebels, a home run.
