MVAOCOU Ram Varsity Girls Basketball Highlights

MVAOCOU 47 - OABCIG 46
It's too bad there was a strict limit to the number of fans at ball games right now, because the game between the Falcons and Rams was a great game which more people should have been able to enjoy. The teams kept the game extremely tight from the very beginning, and the winner was actually determined in the final second when Emily Kovarna tossed the ball in the basket just before the final buzzer.
Ashlyn Blake led the Rams in points with 15, assists with 5, and steals with 3. Cadence Koenigs was the leader in rebounds with 6. Anna Heck added 14 points and 5 rebounds. Hannah O'Connell and Keely Kuhlmann both also contributed 5 rebounds.

Riverside 41 - MVAOCOU 36
The Rams took on Riverside in Bulldog territory on December 17th. The two teams were relatively equal in scoring, but the Bulldogs were dominant in rebounds, turnovers and fouls. While the latter two should be an asset for the Rams, being outperformed in rebounds was the thorn in the Rams' side.
Ashlyn Blake burned up the net, scoring more than half the Rams' points with 19. Blake was also steals leader with 4 and shared assist leadership with Anna Heck with 2 each. Ashley Rosener and Cheslee Yockey shared rebound leadership with 4 each. Cadence Koenigs used her height to get 2 blocks.
